About The Position

The Department of English at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ENG1120 ME00, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition, during the Winter 2027 semester. This course focuses on developing critical reading skills and coherent discourse, with an emphasis on the proper use and acknowledgement of sources. Readings will span multiple genres and will serve as the basis for discussion and frequent written assignments. This course is not repeatable for credit and is not intended for English Majors or Honours students. The expected enrollment is 70 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.

Requirements

• Ph.D (English)
• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
• Competence in second language: N/A

• Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
