About The Position
This course explores major theoretical currents in contemporary anthropology as they have emerged in recent decades, highlighting their main concepts and applications. The course examines debates concerning their meanings within current contexts.
Requirements
- Hold a doctorate in anthropology.
- Demonstrate expertise in the field of contemporary anthropological theory, evidenced by teaching identical or similar courses or by publications in this field.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
Nice To Haves
- Competence in a second language (passive).
Responsibilities
- Teach "Courants théoriques en anthropologie contemporaine" (ANT4523 Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Develop and deliver course content focusing on contemporary anthropological theories, concepts, and applications.
- Engage students in discussions about the meanings of these theories in current contexts.
- Adhere to the collective agreements and university policies governing the hiring process.
