About The Position
The Department of English at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ENG1120 ML00, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course focuses on developing critical reading skills and coherent discourse, with an emphasis on the proper use and acknowledgement of sources. Readings in multiple genres will provide material for discussion and frequent written assignments. This course is not repeatable for credit and is not intended for English Majors or Honours students. The course will be taught in English and is scheduled to meet on Wednesdays from 13:00-14:30 and Fridays from 11:30-13:00. This is an ONLINE COURSE, and the schedule is subject to change.
Requirements
- Ph.D (English)
- Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
