About The Position

The Department of English at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ENG1120 MQ00, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition, during the Winter 2027 semester. This course focuses on developing critical reading skills and coherent discourse, with an emphasis on the proper use and acknowledgement of sources. Readings across multiple genres will serve as the basis for discussion and frequent written assignments. This course is not repeatable for credit and is not intended for English Majors or Honours students. The expected enrolment is 70 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.

Requirements

Ph.D (English)
Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
