About The Position

The Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the Winter 2027 semester to teach MAT1332 E00, Calculus for the Life Sciences II. This course covers integrals, introduction to differential equations, introduction to linear algebra, functions of several variables, and systems of differential equations. All lectures will be delivered online via ZOOM or TEAMS, while midterms will be held in-person on a Saturday. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating across all sections and will utilize Mobius for the course. Requirements

PhD in mathematics.
Expert level knowledge of LaTeX.
Must coordinate (across all sections).
All Lectures for this course will be online (ZOOM or TEAMS).
Midterms will be in-person on a Saturday (date to be determined by the successful candidate).
Mobius will be used for this course.

Responsibilities

Teach Calculus for the Life Sciences II (MAT1332 E00) online via ZOOM or TEAMS.
Conduct in-person midterms on a Saturday (date to be determined).
Coordinate across all sections of the course.
Utilize Mobius for the course.
Cancel one lecture during the week of the midterm, replaced by the Saturday midterm date.
