About The Position
The Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Economics at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Macroeconomic Theory III (ECO3552 Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. This course covers the foundations of macroeconomic theory, theories of economic cycles, monetary and fiscal policy in a closed economy, and neoclassical and modern growth theories. The course is scheduled to be delivered virtually on Tuesdays from 11:30 to 13:00 and Fridays from 13:00 to 14:30. The expected enrollment is 98 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025 rates), which does not include vacation or statutory pay and will be subject to retroactivity upon ratification of a new collective agreement. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.
Requirements
- PhD degree in economics with specialization in the area of the course.
- Competence in French (language of instruction).

Responsibilities

- Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
