About The Position

The Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Economics at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the Fall 2026 semester to teach ECO1592 A00: Science économique pour les ingénieurs. This course covers the scope of engineering economics, including microeconomics (supply, demand, production), cost analysis and break-even points, economic analysis of projects, financial mathematics (time value of money), comparisons based on annual equivalent yield and expected value principles, financial management (data and sensitivity, industrial practices), public project analysis, and economic analyses under uncertainty. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics.
  • Demonstrate recent professional experience as an economist in the area of the course in the public, para-public or private sectors.
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
