About The Position
The Department of English within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ENG1120, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition, during the Winter 2027 semester. This course focuses on developing critical reading skills, coherent discourse, and the proper use and acknowledgement of sources, utilizing topic-based readings in multiple genres for discussion and written assignments. It is not repeatable for credit and not intended for English Majors or Honours students. The position is for the MW00 section, scheduled for Thursdays from 19:00 to 22:00, though the schedule is subject to change. Requirements
- Ph.D (English)
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
- Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

- Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
