About The Position
This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ALG1100 Section A, "Road Map to the Culture of the German-Speaking Countries," during the 2026 Fall Semester at the University of Ottawa. The course explores the links between the cultural past and present of German-speaking countries through key memory sites and topics. No knowledge of German is required for this course.
Requirements
- M.A. in German or equivalent.
- Knowledge of German Culture.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Experience in teaching German Culture in English.
- Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.
- Ability to apply using a worker profile in Workday if currently an employee of the University of Ottawa.

- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures and facilitate discussions.
