About The Position
The Department of English at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ENG1120, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course focuses on developing critical reading skills and coherent discourse, with an emphasis on the proper use and acknowledgement of sources. Readings will cover multiple genres and will serve as the basis for discussion and frequent written assignments. This course is not repeatable for credit and is not intended for English Majors or Honours students. The position is for Section MI00 of the course.
Requirements
- Ph.D (English)
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

- Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach ENG1120, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition.
