About The Position
This is a part-time (0.50 FTE) Regular Education Paraprofessional position at Walker's Grove Elementary, working 2.5 hours per shift in the mornings, Monday through Friday, for 9 months. The role involves assisting students academically and socially, requiring the ability to work independently and as a team member. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to positively interact with students and learn basic curriculum application in small group settings.
Requirements
- One of the following State of Illinois Licenses registered in Will County: Paraprofessional Approval (PARA(STA)), Paraprofessional (ELS(PARA)), Substitute (SUB), or Professional Educator License (PEL)
- College transcripts with 60+ credit hours or have passed the WorkKeys Assessment submitted to obtain licensure/certification
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students
- Understanding of how to positively interact with students
- Willingness to learn basic curriculum application in small group settings
- Dedicated
