About The Position

This is a full-time, 9-month position for a Regular Ed Paraprofessional assigned to support English Learners (ELL) at Grand Prairie Elementary. The role involves assisting students academically and socially, communicating effectively with staff and students, and understanding how to positively interact with students. The paraprofessional will also learn basic curriculum application in small group settings and strategies to support English Learners. A strong understanding of child development, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Requirements

• Fluent in Spanish
• One of the following State of Illinois Licenses registered in Will County: Paraprofessional Approval (PARA(STA)), Paraprofessional (ELS(PARA)), Substitute (SUB), or Professional Educator License (PEL)
• College transcripts with 60+ credit hours or have passed the WorkKeys Assessment submitted to obtain licensure/certification
