About The Position

The Physician will provide care to patients within the scope of their licensing, training, and credentialing. The role includes addressing patients’ medical needs through patient-care activities, fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of a Physician, and helping generate adequate practice volume. The Physician will participate in on-call duties and meetings when needed and practice in accordance with current national patient safety goals.

The position may involve exposure to blood-borne pathogens, biohazardous waste, chemicals, communicable diseases, electrical hazards, varying floor surfaces and temperatures, indoor and outdoor conditions, latex, radiation, and patient-care or handling injuries. Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, may be required. Environmental conditions and physical demands may vary based on the assigned work area and tasks.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
• Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Georgia.
• Valid DEA certificate without restriction.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry objects up to 25 lbs; the role also involves standing, walking, sitting, and close eye work such as computer use, typing, reading, and writing.

Nice To Haves

• Board Eligible or Board Certified.
• Experience in outpatient medical practice.

Responsibilities

• Attend to patients’ medical needs through patient-care activities within the scope of licensing, training, and credentialing.
• Fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Physician and assist in generating adequate practice volume.
• Participate in on-call duties when needed.
• Participate in meetings when needed.
• Practice medicine within the current scope of national patient safety goals.
