About The Position

The Environmental Resources Trust (ERT) is a nonprofit enterprise of Winrock International focused on environmental markets and catalyzing climate impacts. ERT ensures the integrity of environmental assets by developing accounting standards, overseeing verification, and providing transparency in the issuance, transactions, and retirement of serialized offset credits on public registry systems. ERT operates three carbon crediting programs: ACR (a globally recognized program in compliance and voluntary markets, the first private greenhouse gas registry), ART (incentivizing forest protection and restoration at scale), and STEPS (a sectoral standard for electric sector decarbonization). ACR and ART are approved by ICAO for CORSIA and have been assessed by ICVCM as CCP-Eligible programs. They also have an MoU with Singapore and are positioned for roles in new compliance offset markets and under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. The Registry Officer or Registry Manager will join the Registry Operations team following the launch of ACR and ART on a new platform with a new technology service provider, ICE. This role involves developing support resources, assisting staff and partners with registry use, and collaborating with ICE to enhance functionality. It is an operations and client services position contributing to all aspects of registry services management. The role will engage daily with ACR's registry platform infrastructure, supporting technical team members and registry participants. Key functions include managing the carbon credit issuance process, onboarding new participants, and maintaining accurate registry data and billing. The position requires a strong understanding of the ACR Standard, California and Washington regulations, and CORSIA and ICVCM requirements to ensure efficient registry processes while upholding program policies, regulatory compliance, technical rigor, quality, and transparency. The candidate will contribute to maintaining and developing operational processes to ensure the integrity of carbon credits. The role may also support registry platform infrastructure for ART and STEPS programs.
