About The Position

The Registration Scheduling Specialist is an initial point of contact for new patients and helps create a positive first impression. The role involves collecting and accurately capturing patient data, providing empathetic customer service, and helping patients understand their financial responsibilities and available services. The specialist also communicates with nursing staff, other departments, physician and medical offices, and the general public to provide outstanding service. The position is at Main Line Health Center - Exton and follows a rotating schedule.

The rotating schedule is Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, 12:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m. Week 2: Sunday, 7:45 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday, 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 12:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m.; and Thursday, 12:45 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of registration experience in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of insurance and third-party reimbursement.
• High school diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and accurately capture patient data.
