About The Position

Given the nature of the Emergency Department, the role can be fast-paced and demanding, requiring quick thinking and the ability to pivot swiftly between tasks. We are seeking individuals who thrive in such dynamic environments and can effectively navigate the stressors that arise in this setting. This position entails working on-site in Rochester, MN, within the Emergency Department. The responsibilities involve a considerable degree of mobility, with team members actively moving through the Emergency Department, entering patient rooms to verify demographic information, insurance details, emergency contacts, primary care physician information, collecting ED copays, and gathering other pertinent data. Additionally, our team is responsible for welcoming patients arriving by ambulance or helicopter, often during challenging moments in their healthcare journey. The Registration Representative is required to ensure patient safety using positive patient identification protocols and obtain the appropriate consents as required. In person registration requires the ability to physically walk to patients’ location throughout the emergency department and/or hospital. This role requires adherence to quality assurance guidelines as well as established productivity standards to support the work unit’s performance expectations.
