About The Position

The Registration & Elections Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of voter registration and election processes. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, preparing reports, and assisting with budget development. The position requires a strong understanding of election procedures and the ability to manage complex operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field
• Five years of experience in elections or registration
• Lead or supervisory experience
• Valid Georgia driver's license
• State of Georgia GEOC Georgia Election Official Certification (or attain within 6 months of employment)

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, including developing work schedules, reviewing timesheets, and handling employee concerns.
• Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work to subordinates, ensuring they have the necessary resources and monitoring work progress.
• Conducts elections, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, recommending early voting schedules, appointing site managers, and overseeing technology capabilities.
• Implements, monitors, and maintains registration functions and processes, including reviewing various registration types and ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Prepares and completes a variety of registration, production, and election reports, compiling data and submitting mandated reports to regulatory agencies.
• Maintains and develops training and procedure manuals for voter registration and election functions.
• Interprets and ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Assists in developing and implementing the department budget, reviewing budgetary needs, and monitoring expenditures.
