About The Position

Park DuValle Community Health Center is seeking a Registration Clerk to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming experience while ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, payment collection, and record management. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical record systems.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a patient-centered approach.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

Coursework or training in healthcare administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and assist with the registration and check-in process.
Collect, verify, and update demographic, insurance, and other required patient information.
Collect, process, and accurately post patient payments to patient accounts.
Accurately enter patient information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Verify insurance eligibility and assist patients with questions regarding coverage and registration requirements.
Schedule appointments and help manage patient flow to support efficient clinic operations.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and other departments to coordinate patient care.
Address patient inquiries and resolve registration, scheduling, or billing-related concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
