About The Position

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides mental health care and on-site academic instruction to adolescents ages 11–17 experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family, and social challenges. The School Registrar manages the maintenance and integrity of student academic records and oversees enrollment, registration, and transcripts to provide a seamless administrative experience for students, families, and staff.

The position is on-site at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center, with occasional travel to the nearby Suncoast Behavioral Health Center. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, either 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or approved equivalency diploma.
• At least three years of experience as a registrar in a middle or high school.
• Must pass the required Level 2 background screening before starting employment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Knowledge of office procedures, clerical skills, and school operations.
• Knowledge of student registration and student record keeping.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, facility staff, and other educational institutions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to use computers and application software.
• Strong familiarity with student information systems (SIS) and database management.
• Strong knowledge of education compliance standards and privacy laws, such as FERPA.
