Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of experience and/or education
  • One year relevant experience
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Basic Computer Skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in community outreach programs, working with low-income families and children of various ethnic groups
  • Experience with Dentrix software

Responsibilities

  • Provide crucial clerical support for professional caregivers by expertly managing all functions related to patient registration.
  • Handle registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service Collections.
  • Responsible for accurate data input and record keeping, ensuring the integrity of patient information and financial transactions.
  • Meticulously adhere to all credit card handling processes due to potential access to sensitive third-party credit card information.
  • Coordinate, evaluate, and modify schedules.
  • Contact families by phone to schedule dental appointments.
  • Call to confirm appointments.
  • Work proactively to manage the daily clinic schedule including changes, cancellations and reschedules.
  • Obtain accurate and complete patient information for the registration process.
  • Create patient file and provide adequate notes in Dentrix system by documenting medical history updates, previous dental visits, and any account-related communication.
  • Ensure that patient handouts are being given out and explained (i.e.: Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Advance Directives, Financial Assistance, etc.).
