About The Position
We are hiring Credentialing Specialist/Registrar to support a newly awarded Department of the Interior (DOI) contract, staffing USAccess Credentialing Centers in multiple cities. The Registrar performs identity-proofing and enrollment activities required to issue secure federal PIV credentials. This role ensures proper identity verification, collection of biometric data, and compliance with federal credentialing standards. Requirements
- Associate's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience (including 1 year of technical support), OR 5 years of office support experience.
- Ability to complete required USAccess Registrar training and maintain certification.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when handling sensitive personal data.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Eligibility to work on a federal government contract at an onsite credentialing center.
Responsibilities
- Conduct identity proofing for federal employees and contractors.
- Collect biometric and biographic data, including fingerprints and photographs.
- Review and validate identity source documents (driver's license, passport, etc.).
- Issue and update PIV credentials; unblock or replace cards as needed.
- Register PIV cards into Physical Access Control Systems (PACS).
- Receive and process credential terminations upon employee separation.
