About The Position

The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented School Registrar to support campus operations at our AMS Power Campus in Mesa. The School Registrar serves as the primary point of contact for student enrollment, records management, and state compliance reporting. This role ensures the accurate management of student data within the Student Information System (SIS), supports attendance reporting requirements, and assists families throughout the enrollment and onboarding process. The ideal candidate is systems-oriented, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general technology platforms
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential student information
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in school operations, student records management, or registrar work
  • Experience with Student Information Systems (PowerSchool, SchoolMaster, or similar platforms)
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full student enrollment and withdrawal process for new and returning families.
  • Review enrollment documentation and request records from previous schools.
  • Respond to external record requests in compliance with regulatory timelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student information within the Student Information System (SIS).
  • Monitor enrollment capacity, class assignments, waitlists, and student status.
  • Maintain cumulative student records (both digital and physical) while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Support attendance tracking, validation, and reporting to the Arizona Department of Education.
  • Assist with required state reporting including 45-day screening reports and additional compliance submissions.
  • Ensure accuracy of student program designations including EL, SPED, Title I, and other required coding.
  • Generate and distribute school reports including attendance sheets, class rosters, transcripts, and report cards.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and AMS reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for families regarding enrollment, documentation, and student records.
  • Support school tours, enrollment inquiries, and family onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with school leadership and network-level enrollment and compliance teams.
  • Assist campus leadership with administrative and operational tasks as needed.
