About The Position
Centre Street Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join their team in Calgary, AB. The clinic is committed to the highest standards of patient care, providing medicine and surgery in a collaborative environment. They are looking for an RVT who values ethical and patient-first care, supports colleagues, and maintains a positive workplace culture with a focus on work/life balance. The ideal candidate will build positive client relationships, assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, use diagnostic equipment, prepare for surgery, and administer/monitor medicines. The role requires passing or being eligible to write the VTNE, being in good standing with the provincial regulatory association, and having completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technologist Diploma Program.
Requirements
- Passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE
- In good standing with the provincial regulatory association
- Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technologist Diploma Program
Responsibilities
- Build positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets.
- Be respectful in all interactions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures.
- Use a range of diagnostic equipment.
- Prepare patients, instruments and equipment for surgery.
- Administer and monitor medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
