About The Position

Leaside Animal Clinic, a proud member of the Leaside community for 40 years, is seeking an energetic, organized, self-starting Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working collaboratively. The clinic provides a wide range of veterinary medical services for cats and dogs and is equipped with digital radiography, in-house laboratory equipment, and a designated dental ward. The team includes 4 veterinarians and 15 support staff, with many long-tenured employees offering strong experience and mentorship.

Requirements

• A recognized AHT/VT diploma
• A genuine passion for veterinary medicine
• Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude
• A strong desire to educate clients and build long-term relationships
• Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Working closely with veterinarians to deliver high-quality patient care
• Collecting samples and performing laboratory tests
• Conducting digital X-rays
• Preparing patients and surgical areas; monitoring anesthesia
• Administering medications and treatments
• Discharging patients with post-operative instructions
• Filling prescriptions
• Following up with clients
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records
