About The Position
Beacon Veterinary Specialists is a criticalist-led Emergency & Specialty hospital seeking Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to join our team in multiple departments, including Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Surgery. We offer flexible schedules with day, swing, and overnight options, and the opportunity to work with advanced cases in a supportive, team-oriented environment with chances for growth and skill development.
Requirements
- Active California RVT license
- Experience in a veterinary clinical setting (ER or Specialty preferred)
- Skilled in patient handling and restraint
- Strong technical and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- RECOVER BLS/ALS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized and critical patients
- Perform blood draws, IV catheter placement, and treatments
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with procedures
- Run diagnostics (lab work, radiology, ECG, blood pressure)
- Educate clients and review discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and charges
