About The Position
Parker Center Animal Clinic is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to patients and exceptional service to clients. The role supports veterinarians with patient care and veterinary procedures, while communicating with clients and helping maintain clean, well-stocked clinical areas. The ideal candidate has animal-care and client-communication experience and a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts, with every other Saturday. The stated schedule is Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Salary is $22.00–$26.00, dependent on skills and experience. A $700 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments: $350 after 30 days and $350 after six months. Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
- Experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures is described as ideal.
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
- Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
- Perform technical duties, including laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
- Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
- Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
