About The Position

Glenora Family Pet Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician or registration-eligible candidate to join their dedicated small animal practice in Edmonton, Alberta. The role involves working alongside a supportive and collaborative team in a modern, well-equipped hospital where RVTs are highly valued and encouraged to utilize their full scope of skills every day. The clinic, conveniently located in downtown Edmonton, has been providing compassionate, high-quality care to cats, dogs, rabbits, and pocket pets since 2016, building lasting relationships with clients and the community. RVTs are an integral part of patient care and play a highly respected role, with opportunities for professional growth in areas such as dentistry, nutrition, anesthesia, exotic companion animals, or client education. The practice is proud to be both a Fear Free Certified Practice and a Gold Cat Friendly Practice, creating a calm and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Technician or registration-eligible candidate.
  • Animal Health Technician / Veterinary Technician Diploma.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the provincial regulatory association.
  • VTNE passed or scheduled to be completed soon.
  • Availability to work Saturdays and flexibility with scheduling.
  • Passion for veterinary medicine and delivering compassionate patient care.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and dedication to your work.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Motivation to continue learning and growing professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced equipment and technology to support diagnostics, treatment, and patient wellness.
  • Work closely with experienced DVMs.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Utilize advanced in-house diagnostics including digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory capabilities, therapeutic laser, and CryoPen technology.
  • Run advanced diagnostics including urine cultures, T4, Fructosamine, Lipase, and more.
  • Work with cats, dogs, rabbits, and pocket pets.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive culture focused on teamwork and patient care.
  • Collaborate with the DVM team.
  • Continue learning and growing professionally.
