About The Position

Horton Animal Hospital Discovery is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their team. This is a full-time position with a negotiable salary based on experience and licensure. The schedule involves working three 12-hour shifts per week, either Sunday-Tuesday, Monday-Wednesday, or Thursday-Saturday, from 7 am to 7 pm. Horton Animal Hospital Discovery is a 13-doctor practice offering comprehensive care, including wellness, preventative medicine, emergency, and specialty services. Requirements

Active Missouri RVT license (or eligibility)
Strong technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring and diagnostics
Excellent communication and client service skills
Positive, team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
Desire to learn, grow, and help mentor others
Confidence in taking ownership of responsibilities and patient care

Responsibilities

Assist with exams, treatments, and advanced patient care
Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
Monitor anesthesia and support surgical and recovery procedures
Take radiographs and assist with diagnostics and lab work
Provide critical patient care and nursing support
Communicate effectively with clients and support patient education
