About The Position
Didsbury Veterinary Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their collaborative and supportive team. This role is ideal for someone looking to fully utilize their skills in a position where their contributions are valued. RVTs at Didsbury Veterinary Services are essential members of the medical team, assisting with appointments and surgical procedures, leading technician consultations (e.g., nutrition, weight management), and playing a key role in delivering outstanding patient care. The clinic offers a diverse caseload, combining small animal and large animal/livestock medicine, with both in-clinic and mobile services, including emergency care. This variety ensures a dynamic environment where skills can continuously grow and evolve. The position is for maternity leave coverage, with the potential to become permanent based on business needs. Requirements
- Animal Health Technology / Veterinary Technician Diploma
- VTNE passed or eligibility to write the exam
- Good standing with your provincial regulatory association
- Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced and varied environment
- A genuine passion for patient care and veterinary medicine

Responsibilities
- Assist with appointments and surgical procedures
- Lead technician consultations such as nutrition and weight management
- Play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care
- Participate in an on-call rotation, typically one weekend per month and one night per week
