Onsite

About The Position

Galaxy Vets Urgent Care & Walk-In: Truro is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to practice at the top of their scope in a fast-paced urgent care environment. This is not a traditional technician role; RVTs are considered clinical leaders and medical decision-support partners to the DVM, driving patient care standards. The role offers autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to help build a sustainable veterinary business. Each shift, the RVT is a key clinical pillar, leading anesthesia and patient monitoring, performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters, initiating and managing fluid therapy, executing radiology safely and efficiently, monitoring hospitalized patients and escalating concerns, educating clients clearly and compassionately, supporting surgical flow and sterile technique, and helping to refine clinical processes and standards. RVTs are empowered to practice to the full extent of their training and registration.
