Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - Village Gate Animal Hospital
About The Position
Village Gate Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their team. This role involves building positive client relationships through genuine care and compassion, respecting all interactions, and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT will also assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including using diagnostic equipment, preparing patients and instruments for surgery, and administering/monitoring medicines under veterinary direction. The clinic is located in a vibrant Toronto neighborhood, known for its community focus and welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements
- Must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE.
- Must be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association.
- Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.
- Ability to work in a part-time capacity.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
- Use a range of diagnostic equipment.
- Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery.
- Administer and monitor medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
- Build positive client relationships.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
