Adventist Medical Group seeks to hire an experienced Registered Vascular Technologist for our Fort Washington, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Registered Vascular Technologist you will perform clinical assessments and produce high-quality vascular sonographic images to provide accurate data for the Interventional Radiologists and Radiologists. You will enter preliminary findings and impressions into documentation systems, perform other non-invasive vascular tests including portable studies as necessary, and use computer systems (Cerner, Viewpoint, McKesson PACS and Hconnect) correctly to document patient information. You will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on their assigned unit/department, and assume responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all patients in the sonographic area/department. You will coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided, anticipate patient’s needs and exceed expectations. You will report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member and completes associated forms or phone calls. You will have the ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations, maintain schedule and prioritize exams, and demonstrate cost effectiveness in the use of supplies and equipment as indicated by minimal wastage of supplies. You will also participate in departmental PI initiatives and other duties as assigned.
