About The Position
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Petoskey, MI. This position involves providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population, from infants to the elderly, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests, administering therapies, managing ventilators, and educating patients on equipment and medication usage.
Requirements
- 2+ Years of RRT Experience
- Travel Experience
- ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Michigan State License Requirements
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
- Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
- Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages
- Drug screen and background check (facility required)
- Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
Responsibilities
- Perform chest examinations on a range of patients from babies through to the elderly
- Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans
- Provide detailed therapy, requiring significant independent judgment, like when caring for patients in intensive care
- Perform physical examination and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity and blood acidity and alkalinity
- Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
- Connect patients who can’t breathe to a ventilator
- Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication
- Regularly check on patients and equipment
