About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Petoskey, MI. This position involves providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population, from infants to the elderly, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and modify treatment plans. The role requires independent judgment, especially in intensive care settings, and involves administering various treatments, including ventilator support, and educating patients on equipment and medication usage.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ Years of RRT Experience
Must have Travel Experience
Must have ACLS, and NRP certifications
Must have Michigan State License
Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
Drug screen and background check (facility required)

Responsibilities

Perform chest examinations on a range of patients from babies through to the elderly
Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans
Provide detailed therapy, requiring significant independent judgment, like when caring for patients in intensive care
Perform physical examination and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity and blood acidity and alkalinity
Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
Connect patients who can’t breathe to a ventilator
Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication
Regularly check on patients and equipment
