Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NICU - Cardiopulmonary (Nights)
About The Position
The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs cardiopulmonary duties according to hospital policy and procedure under general supervision. Duties may include administering respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures. The therapist is expected to provide a high level of customer service, participate actively in continuous quality improvement, and serve as a resource to other employees. The position requires at least one year of Level III NICU experience, either at Tanner or another Level III NICU facility. The employee must attend the S.T.A.B.L.E. baby course within 18 months of employment and become certified in NRP, PALS, and ACLS within 10 months of employment.
Requirements
- Associate degree or two years of college coursework.
- One year of related experience.
- Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
- Respiratory Care Professional credential.
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- At least one year of Level III NICU experience at Tanner or another Level III NICU facility.
- Attend the S.T.A.B.L.E. baby course within 18 months of employment.
- Become certified in NRP, PALS, and ACLS within 10 months of employment.
