Registered Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory - Per Diem - Night Flex
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care at its NYP Westchester campus in Bronxville, New York. The hospital highlights its advanced respiratory therapy work, including nitric oxide programs and the use of oscillating and jet ventilators. Respiratory Therapists assist with transporting intubated patients, with particular attention to maintaining airways and providing adequate ventilation and oxygenation. They assess respiratory therapy modalities and recommend appropriate changes and improvements to respiratory care delivery. This is a per-diem night-flex position covering three 12.5-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays. The role requires on-site presence; employees should live within commuting distance of NYP. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Requirements
- Minimum of an AAS degree from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program.
- Eligible for certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Current New York State Respiratory Therapy license.
- BCLS certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities

- Assess respiratory therapy modalities and recommend appropriate changes, including improvements to respiratory care delivery.
