Registered Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory - Per Diem - Night Flex
About The Position
Join NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s respiratory therapy team, which uses advanced techniques to improve care quality and shorten lengths of stay. Respiratory therapists assist with transporting intubated patients, with special emphasis on maintaining airways and providing adequate ventilation and oxygenation. They assess respiratory therapy modalities and recommend changes, including improvements to respiratory care delivery. This is a per-diem night-flex position covering three 12.5-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays, at the NYP Westchester campus in Bronxville, New York. The role requires on-site presence, and employees should live within commuting distance; travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Requirements
- Minimum AAS degree from an AMA-approved program in Respiratory Care.
- Eligible for certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Current New York State Respiratory Therapy licensure.
- BCLS certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
