Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NICU, Day Shift, Respiratory Therapy
About The Position
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Respiratory Therapist (NICU) who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist you will attend all high-risk deliveries as required. You will be competent to perform internal and external transport of critically ill neonates as per transport policy. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, documenting and evaluating patients on invasive and non-invasive ventilation. You will assess and document patient outcomes via EMR. Perform SBAR and participate in rounds in ICU and NICU. You will respond to medical emergencies throughout the facility. You will perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
- National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist required
- Active Maryland State RRT license required
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Required
- Must obtain an Advanced Certification (NPS, ACCS, RPFT) within the 1st year of employment.
Responsibilities
