About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Lead Respiratory Therapist for our Respiratory Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Lead Respiratory Therapist, you will conduct and oversee daily operations efficiently, distribute shift assignments, and ensure that staff is following proper policies and procedures when performing tasks. You will communicate with patients, families, coworkers, and appropriate disciplines to provide total care for the patients and optimal outcomes. You will round on your assigned staff members quarterly, manage resources to include staffing and equipment, and ensure that the huddle is done prior to each shift. You will execute all other duties.

Requirements

  • Graduate of AMA approved respiratory program
  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multi-taskings
  • Proficient in basic PC skills such as windows and excel.
  • Must have at least 3 yrs of Level III NICU experience.
  • Minimum formal education required, an associate degree required.
  • Minimum years of 3 yrs supervisory/management experience required
  • Will obtain an advanced certification within 1 yr of hire.
  • NRP certifications required
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Must be willing to take PALS and ACLS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
