About The Position

This position is located at the Willoughby Hills Family Health Center, which serves the surrounding communities by offering a wide variety of pediatric, family medicine, radiology, and cardiology services. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be part of a team of caregivers, utilizing x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body for interpretation by a Radiologist. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, positioning and instructing them, operating equipment correctly, and ensuring high-quality images while minimizing radiation dose. There are opportunities for specialization in areas such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine. The role involves varying shifts, typically from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Responsibilities

  • Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
  • Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
