About The Position

One (1) temporary full-time Registered Practical Nurse opportunity is available in the Emergency/Medicine Departments at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. This position is created by combining one (1) existing Regular Part-Time RPN position from the Medicine Department and one (1) existing Regular Part-Time RPN position from the Emergency Department, with the home unit designated as the Emergency Department. This position is unionized with UNIFOR, Local 1106.

Requirements

Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Current BCLS Certification
Enrolled in or completed Physical Assessment Course
ACLS
One (1) year Emergency or Telemetry experience required
Two (2) years Med/Surg experience required
Updated IV course and IV medication administration – mandatory within 3 months of hire
Proven attendance record
Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to candidates with current Emergency nursing experience.
