About The Position

Under the supervision of pharmacists, the Registered Pharmacy Tech prepares prescriptions mechanically for pharmacists’ final checks. Duties include entering orders into computer profiles, pulling and counting medications, processing third-party billings, and replacing and managing inventory.

Requirements

• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding/data entry skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications.
• Advanced pharmacy technician knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures.
• Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• High school graduation or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician Program.
