About The Position
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care and treatment of orthopaedic patients. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks such as casting, bracing, and splinting. May perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Certification as an Orthopedic Technologist (COT) through the National Board for Certification of Orthopaedic Technologists (NBCOT)
- Demonstrated skill in venipuncture, wound care, and cast care
- Three to five years orthopaedic technologist and medical office experience in an Orthopaedic environment
- CPR certification
