About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Laboratory. The role provides direct care to adult and geriatric patients and addresses psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. The nurse communicates with physicians about patient conditions, monitors and records patients' conditions, and monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. The position also involves assessing procedure room and equipment readiness, maintaining equipment and inventory, obtaining supplies for individual cases, ensuring the Cardiovascular Laboratory team's needs are met, and participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. This is a part-time position with a day shift.

Requirements

Active state Registered Nursing (RN) license.
Current BCLS (AHA) certification and ACLS certificate upon hire; maintain current certifications.
One year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
Address psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
Communicate with physicians continuously and as needed about patient condition.
Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
Assess procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness.
Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met.
Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
Continuously monitor and record patients' conditions while in the Cardiovascular Laboratory.
Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
