About The Position

Lifesteps, a local non-profit human services agency, is hiring a caring and compassionate Registered Nurse in the Indiana, Pennsylvania area for a substitute day-program position. The role works one day per month, typically from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., preferably on Tuesdays; other weekdays are also an option. The Nurse serves as a liaison between Lifesteps staff and medical professionals, consults with staff on cases involving individuals with disabilities and aging adults, trains staff to administer prescribed medical recommendations and protocols, and ensures internal control and compliance with prescribed procedures. The Nurse must be willing to travel to assigned homes, accompany individuals and staff to medical appointments as needed, and work with the team to promote healthy lifestyles. Mental health and/or social work experience is preferred but not required. Lifesteps takes COVID-19 precautions, supplies personal protective equipment when necessary, and follows CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines for a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania RN license.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to provide acceptable clearances.
• Ability to lift, position, and/or move up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Willingness to travel to assigned homes and accompany individuals and staff to medical appointments as needed.
