Registered Nurse, South 2, Memorial, Nights, 24-hours
About The Position
Responsible for planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. The role provides care from admission through discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population, and works in an indoor patient-care environment. This position is scheduled for 24 hours per week on night shifts, from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., including every other weekend and every other holiday. The position is non-exempt and represented by MNA-Memorial/Hahnemann. A signing bonus may be available; eligibility will be confirmed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
- Current BLS is required for every RN unless current ACLS certification is held; unit-specific certifications and competencies may also be required.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to standard procedure.
- Develop and coordinate individual plans of care, including discharge planning.
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
- Delegate appropriately to others in accordance with their job descriptions and competency levels.
