About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, located in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an experienced Pre-op Registered Nurse for our Vascular and Interventional Center. This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week, working days, Monday - Friday. The prep area operates from 6 am to 5 pm. Nurses will take weekend call every 6th to 7th weekend between 7 am and 3 pm. The department includes a 25-bed prep & recovery unit, 8 procedure rooms, and 2 Vascular Hybrid ORs. Nurses in this unit will be cross-trained to care for patients undergoing interventional radiology, neuro, and vascular procedures, as well as OR patients. They will provide care for patients recovering from both Moderate Sedation and General Anesthesia.
