About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Operating Room at Ascension Saint Thomas DeKalb in Smithville, TN. The role involves leading the implementation and continuous monitoring of personalized care plans, coordinating care across multiple clinical disciplines, assessing and facilitating the patient's journey from admission to discharge, and communicating critical changes in patient condition to the medical team.

Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and continuous monitoring of personalized care plans, ensuring every patient receives a high standard of treatment tailored to their specific recovery goals.
Coordinate care across multiple clinical disciplines, acting as the central hub for communication to ensure the entire healthcare team is aligned and working toward the best patient outcome.
Assess and facilitate the patient’s journey from admission to discharge, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a safe, seamless, and well-prepared transition back to the community.
Communicate critical changes in patient condition to the medical team in real-time, providing the precise clinical insights necessary for rapid and accurate intervention.
