This is a 13-week temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, requiring 36 hours per week with three 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends. The role involves working nights (7 PM - 7 AM). The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director, responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of total nursing care for assigned patients. The RN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to create patient care plans, considering physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity. The position also involves supervising and delegating tasks to non-professional personnel to ensure optimal patient care and requires competence in dealing with age-related needs of specific patient populations served in Critical Care/Telemetry units/departments. The RN works with leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive services in accordance with Riverside Health System's standards and goals.
