About The Position
The Registered Nurse – Surgery at Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a professional who is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with evidence-based practice. Nurses contribute to continual improvement in the quality of care by collecting and analyzing data. This position is full-time at 0.9 FTE, or 72 hours per pay period, with varied shifts. The role is based at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, a regional referral center providing primary, secondary, and tertiary care.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan registered nurse license.
- Current BLS certification or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Maintain specialty certification as required by the department's scope of service.
- Current ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification may be required based on the primary department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Specialty certification desired.
- Ideally, at least three years of RN practice in a comparable setting.
